Teaching your children how to cook and bake is one of the most important lessons that you can pass on. The opposite is true is the baking pan you use is too small. The batter ends up deeper and will take a longer time to bake. Once again, this throws off the cooking time and the consistency of the end product.

They can be used in place of a desert or can be served for breakfast or brunch, and can make for some of the most quick baking recipes you’ll find.

It creates a lighter texture. Butter or solid fat can create density in your baked goods making it heavier. But substituting parts of the butter with sunflower oil in addition to the eggs and sugar can create a lighter and a more fluffy consistency in your baked goods.

Spelt flour is a fantastic whole grain for baking. It’s another flour that is good to start experimenting with. If you’re looking to bake something that is light and crumbly then spelt flour can be the answer to your dreams. The greater gluten content of spelt flour makes it an ideal substitute for plain flour. I can’t use any other flour for my banana bread recipe anymore.
