Teaching your children how to cook and bake is one of the most important lessons that you can pass on. When you have a kitchen that is outfitted with silicone bakeware and the Silpat baking mat, the job is even easier. Silpat baking mats allow your children to successfully create baked goods without sticking or even greasing the pans and cookie sheets.
FOODS & BEVERAGES. I sprinkle it in soak water to make our beans more digestible. I also sometimes add it to tomato sauces and coffee to neutralize some of the acidity.
Baking homemade food has increasingly more health benefits than buying processed baked goods from the store. Items bought from the bakery at the grocery store have preservatives to keep things fresh that you don’t have to use at home.
That’s right ladies and gentlemen – it’s baking soda. Or as science-minded folk affectionately call it: Sodium Bicarbonate. There is a list as long as the Nile of incredible uses for this wonder product. Not only can you cook and clean with it, but you can incorporate baking soda into your daily beauty routine too.
Keep good track of the “bread” coming in as income. This process also includes tracking the cost of supplies to do business, advertising fees and operating expenses.
Some examples include Banana bread, Date-nut bread as well as scones and muffins. Just look at any banana bread recipe and you’ll see the fat and sugar content is lower than your average cake recipe. The result is pleasingly sweet and moist, perfect for when you don’t want the richness of a cake. If you’re not in the mood for something so sweet, turn to a soda bread recipe or a fruit scone recipe. The content of these two quick breads are much less sweet, with a more savory bread-like flavor.
Naturally, baking soda generates and expels carbon dioxide (which is safe). When baking goodies, this is what creates the fluff and rise in the yeast. But, think about what this does if the baking soda is mixed in with homemade bath salts contained a nearly full glass jar where there’s not much empty space. Talk about a date with bath salt bombs.
Thankfully, I love to experiment with food so leaving my old ways of baking behind isn’t too painful. I could buy a bunch of cookbooks and follow someone else’s recipes, but where’s the creativity in that? I’ll post recipes on my website as I get them written down.
