Baking 30 Minute Desserts

I think everyone who has ever baked something has a crisis story to tell: the pie crust that was so tough it couldn’t be sliced, or the birthday cake that caved in at the same time as the candles were getting lit. Baking is part science and half art, full of opportunities for mistakes and miracles. One way to increase your general baking skill is to take baking classes online.

That’s right ladies and gentlemen – it’s baking soda. Or as science-minded folk affectionately call it: Sodium Bicarbonate. There is a list as long as the Nile of incredible uses for this wonder product. Not only can you cook and clean with it, but you can incorporate baking soda into your daily beauty routine too.

Most recipes will use all-purpose flour unless otherwise noted. You can also use this flour for rolling out pie crust or cookie dough and to prep a cake pan. There are three kinds of sugar you may want to stock in your pantry. Granulated will be used most often and brown sugar will come in a close second. Powdered sugar is mostly used for icings and dusting on cakes, so you can wait on purchasing this until you need it. Always keep both baking soda and baking powder on hand because you will use them both a lot. If you have a chocolate brownie recipe or a chocolate cake recipe that you might use frequently, consider purchasing a container of unsweetened cocoa to keep on hand.

There are other baking tools available for specific types of baked good. When baking cookies, you will need cookie sheets and wax paper to place the cookie batter on before putting in the oven. Wax paper is needed so that the cookies won’t stick to the pan. If you wish to make cookies in different shapes, you’ll need different cookie cutters. There are so many different cookie cutter shapes available from hearts to stars to Christmas trees for the holiday season and pumpkins for Halloween. You can also choose to retain the normal round shape of cookies if you want.

Get the best baking education that you can take at home. These are videos, books, and even online tutorials that you can just download from your computer. But I suggest that you focus on just one training material at a time so you will not get confused and overwhelmed as well.

Do not be in a hurry. Everything takes time and that includes baking at home. This is perhaps one of the best baking tips that I can give you. This is because there are a lot of people who start learning how to bake and then get frustrated when it takes a bit longer for them to grab the baking concepts or even make a decent cake. Again everything takes time so just be very patient.

By now, I think you’re equipped to handle baking quite well. Follow these simple, easy to follow steps and before you know it, you’ll have turned into a master baker. Good Luck with that!
